One of the great events Gotham Baseball sponsored over the years was The Gotham Cup, the brainchild of Gene Berardelli and Ken “Trolley” Schlapp. Playing 1864 rules, the Gothams faced off in an invitational Base Ball tourney at Central Park.

Found a photo I thought was lost to the interwebs; my kids and wife (she's behind the picture, lol) unveiling the Mickey Mantle issue of Gotham Baseball at Mickey Mantle's Restaurant in 2007 ... I tried to get this frame back when Mantle's closed, but to no avail.

Nov. 21 is always a tough day. Six years ago, my beloved Mom passed away. She was a powerful woman who always put her family first.
