I wanted to share “Moon Map” again…isn’t she lovely? I missed the lunar eclipse last night but had many dreams about creating art, my children when they were teeny tiny, and trying to packfor a trip.

I have some scrap glass that is giving me 1980s Duran Duran “Rio” album concert vibes.
I think too jarring for the project, but the toe tapping to “her name is Rio and she dances on the sand…” brings back fun MTV memories.

A constraint that I put on myself this year is to use supplies I already have to reduce expenses. What fun to root around in my studio and find flowers tucked away for a door series I never got around to completing. ✨🌺

It was weirdly warm today in MN so I took advantage and got 14 mirror frames shellacked and sealed AND cut out four more bases for my crop circle exploration.
I wasn’t the only one outside who had their power tools out. ✨✨✨

My first in person event is next weekend in Minneapolis! I’ve not participated in this type of show before and excited to meet new clients and fans. I have a few free tickets left should you want to visit, shop, and plan a remodel. I’ll be looking at kitchens when I have a break.

Ambitious and tricky. Question to self: “Do I have enough materials to pull off this pattern?”
I like to work fast but this piece will be slower to construct. That seems a theme so far this year with my pieces. They are demanding more time connect and to share their message.

I’ve finished the hardest part of this mosaic. Once I grout I’ll be left with the background. Instead of glass I’m going to use encaustic paint. My pondering: should I keep a moon color or go dark? I’ll get to try both until I find the correct one. Fun!

I’m spending the winter months preparing for spring and summer shows; and for my debut out West in Reno/Tahoe in September. A series of geometric crop circles will now be in the mix! I’ve drawn these designs over the last 3 years and they are ready to emerge.
