201 KM Sicht heute vom Monte San Giorgio zum Monviso! Dazwischen liegt viel Piemont, wenig Lombardei und nur ein Mü Tessin.

View from the still green slopes of Engelstock in central Switzerland towards Rigi and Wildspitz. A large and enduring high pressure system, common in this season, creates an inversion which traps the fog below at 900 meters. Above, the sun shines from a cloudless dark blue sky. The German word for this is 'Nebelmeer' - The sea of fog.
