But failure modes are often *not* statistically independent : if something has caused one interceptor to miss, the same thing may make another interceptor more likely to miss

I do still think though that the old design was much more human-welcoming, even if it had less functionality and even if there may have been a handful of places it had problems with.

Would it not be possible to retain both designs, with a prominent link on each page to go to see the other view?

Thanks. I've updated Wikidata's link formatter, so the current 12,270 links from wikidata statements like www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q224580... should switch over to the new URLs in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Not helping, that even when there is/was a Canmore summary, they don't show it on the default visible tab -- so when you first look at the page, there's usually *nothing* to tell you about what the item represents

1200 links for individuals from wikidata & English Wikipedia broken & can't be repaired -- just because the new site doesn't expose a URL for them.
Carelessness or half wittedness ?
Nobody from Oxford seems reachable about it
