I loved this show so much, and wish more people had seen it. It's such a great mixture of weird, funny and sweet.

That sounds great! Wishing you all the best for the launch and that many readers will talk about your book!

If you haven't published yet, getting beta readers might be the way to find out. 😃

And it was so utterly cool to see someone else's thoughts on the book (and so different from my own) and never in my life have I felt "no two people have read the same book" more than at this time.

One of my favorite experiences was working on an author's manuscript together with her critique partner in Google docs and I'm sure the author loved to see us talk about the story and discuss with us on how to solve issues.

Do you need to >fill< the gap? Sometimes it works to show the jump in time by presenting the reader with how reality has changed for that character (if they're still there).

Questions:
Do you really need to show how the character learns about it or could you just start when that action begins, and have them recap how they learned about it. (E.g. in either disbelief it really happens, or complacency as they knew it all along, or whatever fits.)

I think I leave traces like this sometimes when I urgently want to start a new book at night while I'm already falling asleep. 😅

Every time I see this, I'm amazed that someone one day decided to order it. 😁
