Match URLs with a powerful, standardized syntax using the URL Pattern API → goo.gle/47iTr3o

Now part of Baseline, this API provides a built-in way to create URL pattern matchers that can be used against URLs or individual URL components.

A few days ago, I started focusing on photography again. I dusted off my very old camera (Sony a6000) and took it out for a spin

Found this cheeky #hummingbird

A pigeon was perched on my office's flag pole. I said 'sup and it looked at me

While maintaining eye contact, it took a shit on my company's flag

So that's my day. How are you?

My apologies to @container and @eng for random mentions in our github PRs - it's real cool when github auto-tokenizes your commit message body except when it's not lol

In Sweard, AK, when the coffee shop is closed, they just give you a free cup of diner style filter coffee so set you straight.

Free. Out of a closed coffee shop

Like, what is this place?

Turns out, writing a little service in #golang to generate a PNG with DisplayP3 colors is a) fun and b) moot since @bsky.app seems to strip the iccp from the PNG

Anyway, I made a little bot that posts daily oklch colors:

Elixir is so hardcore, it will refuse to compile if you want different doc comments for two overloads for the same function

I'm old enough to have used mm Dreamweaver and get annoyed at the code it generated.

Figma Sites seems like a great way to get a prototype up and running, but the majority of the generated code would need to be thrown away in order to ship a good website
During my livestream yesterday, I talked about Figma Sites for a little bit. I've broken it off into a short, stand-alone video.

I don't normally like bashing a company, but when a company of Figma's size makes a product this bad, I think it's important to call them out on it.

I remember the great browser wars.

React giving first class support for view transitions by leveraging the standard is a huge deal!

I decided to learn a bit of go lang by making a small http service to generate pngs from font awesome's font and I'm quite surprised at how easy and almost elegant everything was.

I'm really impressed with how cool the getting started resources are

Let's integrate Twilio into an existing React Native app that has no custom native modules.

The amount of magic config and the scattered documentation is making it downright annoying.

Do I know anyone who's done something like this who could answer a couple of questions?

Ok, but that Milchick in the mirror scene was fucking nuts!

Is there a service that can "watch" an edited video and its source(s) and determine if the edited video is misleading or taking things out of context or not aligned with the source material?

Should we build it?

but can we talk about how crazy good the car fight scene is?! 11/10
