A supercute family of #Springtails munching some old #Slimemold sclerotiums😍

A nice and shiny #Slimemold (I was driving and reversed and stopped just because I saw something red in a charred pine😅), Probably Heterotrichia ferruginea.
And some very dry nest fungi, Crucibulum laeve.

For #SlimeMoldSunday, a plasmodium and its inseparable companion, a very cute🥰 forager #Springtail
If someone can ID them closer than me (I've reached Poduromorpha and unknown Slime by now😅), I'd be very grateful
A short video posted next👇🏻

Those ones have survived one big fire, but could show you others that have survived a few of them🙌🏻. They're total badasses
March 31, 2025 at 6:23 PM
True 🤣, but they also thrive with wetter clime.
These photos are from last Sunday and the trunks on the left are still charred because of the Great Fire of 2019, but this is a really "wet spot" (for the islands).
On the right, they seem like bottle cleaners cause they lost all the old branches🔥🌲

Saw a good one today😍
Sarcosphaera coronaria. They are massive (for a Pezizal)!

And on the same walk, an old friend/Slime, Leocarpus fragilis, just forming the fruiting bodies

Nannengaella mellea, here they come again!!

A new one in my land!!👏🏻
Reminds me of Physarum hongkongense, but let's not rush it till it's under the microscope🤓🔬

You're on the roll now!!👏🏻👏🏻
They seem like Metatrichia floriformis, here are some photos (sorry about the quality, it was one of my firsts IDs) and Sarah Lloyd's description (with much better photos😅)

You were sooo right 🙌🏻🙌🏻!
I'll try to confirm it with micro, but they actually seem like L. scintillans.
It was the first Slime mold we (my partner & I) studied and identified a few years ago, love to see it again and growing at home, no less! 🤓🥰

Y... También aparecen hongos! 🍄🍄‍🟫
En este caso, Iodophanus carneus, un Ascomycete🤓

... And a 2nd species (Think so) that isn't D. leucopodia comes to play!
March 8, 2025 at 9:53 AM
Hey, @regularslimeguy.bsky.social, @blebleb.bsky.social & @nuiipointer.bsky.social!
Never underestimate the capacity of #Slimemold to grow wherever they want. I put a small sample of green blades and🍀with D. leucopodia sporangia trying to grow them and... Tadaaa!!! Another species🤯 is taking over!
March 7, 2025 at 11:16 AM
Sooo, mystery solved,
@blebleb.bsky.social!
In my short experience with moist chamber, I've seen this kind of growth once, and was secretly rooting for Nannengaella mellea, and here it is!
3 days from dry Sclerotia to almost mature Sporangia🤘🏻🤯🤘🏻 It rocks!! And it's really gorgeous🥰

Look at these ones. They're Cribraria vulgaris. Without magnifier them looked very alike of yours. The net is really delicate and difficult to see just by 👀...
March 1, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Sometimes they grow sooo nicely🤩🤯
A plasmodium collected almost dry 3 days ago after being in Moist Chamber for just 36 hours!!

This season is being awful for MacroFungi over here (2-3 years long drought😓🏜️), but shyly, they are a few peeking around🍄👀

Agaricus augustus

Could be the light, I can't stress enough how poor is my "photo system"😥😮‍💨... Here are some photos of the other sample
February 25, 2025 at 8:25 PM
No! Sorry, my English is not well enough... It's an stereoscopic magnifier, I've seen now that they call it a microscope in some places, but it has only 20-40x zoom. (vs real microscope🔬 up to 100-1000x, at least an amateur one)
I've meant something like the photo
