📜 The EU must demand the repeal of abusive laws like:
— The Hong Kong National Security Law
— “Picking quarrels” & “subversion” charges
— Secret detentions under “residential surveillance”

These violate China’s own treaty obligations.

🕯️ Protecting freedom of religion and belief must include defending Tibetan religious traditions—like resisting interference in the selection of the next Dalai Lama.

🌍 The EU should lead on ending transnational repression, including Chinese surveillance, intimidation & harassment of activists in Europe.
These abuses affect not just Chinese citizens, but global civil society.

✊ The EU has spoken out before—on Xinjiang, detentions of rights defenders, and the repression in Hong Kong—but words are not enough. The current approach hasn’t stopped Beijing’s abuses.

#HumanRights must be a top priority at the Summit.
