Gone forever I'm afraid. It's ironic that Parmigiani, which used to be on the corner of Old Compton St and Frith St is a corporate chain coffee shop. The great Bifulco butchers, directly opposite also went years ago.

Such a shame. The great Italian delicatessens always look so beautiful at Christmas, and Camisa was no exception. I used to manage a shop about 100 yards up the road and I shamelessly stole every idea from Camisa and Parmigiani.

I've just seen somewhere else that picture is Cambridge. The year I met them would have been 1971 or 1972. Lovely people.

That picture would have been taken round about the time I served them when I was working in Fortnum & Mason. Could even have been the same day, as I think that's Bond St, round the corner. I remember Paul had the bluest eyes I've ever seen

Hi Ian - you're right, it hasn't aged and is a wonderful piece of music. There are about 5 disco tracks I couldn't separate: from Chic, Sheila B Devotion and Sister Sledge.

That didn't sound too great, but I saw Slade/Ambrose Slade probably in 1969. The club was packed full of skinheads chanting for Reggae. The boys had none of it and blew the roof off.
