When I was growing up, TAG was unhelpful and made us a target for bullying. My kids, in Seattle, both read chapter books in kindergarten silently and to themselves. They tested into a program with a dedicated cohort that taught them two grade-levels above standard - amazing. Cohort = no bullying.

We developed CrossFilt, a read-level, cross-species filtering approach that avoids these errors without sacrificing usable data. It outperforms all existing strategies and exposes just how much signal in comparative genomics has been misread.
