World of Two Halves: While the proportion of humanity living in poverty has fallen, the number of people still living on less that US$6.85 STILL stands at circa 3.6bn - a whopping 44% of us.

Meanwhile, the richest 1% own almost an identical proportion - 45% - of all wealth.

If you thought last year's figures were horrifying - how about the fact that billionaire wealth rose THREE TIMES faster in 2024 than 2023?
