As a Scottish-Brit who has been learning German for a few years, I'm constantly amazed how much of our local vocabulary is just German. "I know" in the north-east is "I ken", which sounds much closer to "ich kenne"

Veganism spawned from Marxism? That's hilarious, you'd have to be seriously dense to believe that something can 'spawn' something which came thousands of years before it existed. The vegan movement shows the market working correctly. Demand rose for plant based food and the market has catered to it.
