7. The Abominable Snowman (1957). I only discovered my love of this film this year. Peter Cushing at his most dashing (with a slight homoerotic friendship thrown in), and much more philosophical (and woke) than most horror of the period.

6. Jagten (The Hunt, 2010). Hannibal began my love affair with Mads Mikkelsen. Jagten turned him into my favourite living actor. Absolutely DEVASTATING performance.

The Divider by Peter Baker and Susan Glasser is the most in-depth reporting of Trump’s first presidency that exists. I urge everyone to read it to prepare for round two and arm yourself with knowledge. Also to laugh at his grooming regimen.
