Saw three different kinds of woodpeckers at Kelly Pt Park yesterday. Also got to hear a lot of birds warming up and testing out their songs for spring mating season

February fakeout day so I went to my favorite former dump/ballfields turned wetlands restoration - Whitaker Ponds. Warm enough that even the turtles came out of their corporate to catch some sunshine

Helped pot up 400 bare root plants today for the Rose City Bluff restoration project. 8 of them also came home with me and I'll care for them until we do a big planting in the fall. This is a 100% community run project to restore native habitat on the bluff

Couldn't take any pictures inside but got to do a really cool chainsaw maintenance class and facilities tour at Oregon Tool. Really neat to see all the science and product testing that it takes to make good chains

This neighborhood cat has been a regular at our house for 14 years. He comes in through the car door, expects food and will sleep on the couch. He hasn't been around for 3 weeks and I really hope he's ok

A few nights of phenomenal sunsets on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington. Thanks to super low tides for the reflections on the sand.

First time checking out Svenson Island near the Oregon Coast. What a cool spot and really incredible for winter birds.
