but unfortunately like you said, these sort of “solutions” are not uncommon. my abuser’s wife would use similar tactics as a way to make it seem like she was actively trying to “help” me

thank you for taking the time to read this thread <3 it really resonates with my experience as a victim and as much as the topic is heavy, its good to see people in the replies saying this opened their eyes to things they didn’t know before
