Not sure if this has been suggested- I got a pill syringe for my cat. You can get it further back in their throat more easily, and more quickly. Trying to do it by hand, even rubbing my cat's throat for half hour still meant a spat out pill. I agree with lots of fav treats too! Good luck x

I've been reading a lot the last few months, in between vet visits. Found out in early January that my Poppydog has nerve cancer, so that's been very unfun. We've got her stable & happy for now on pain meds (librela, gabapentin, rycarfa), but it's gonna be this year. She's not even 9 yet.

My GP surgery has all online enquiries [ie email web form] turned off outside of office hours. In case someone ignores all the huge warnings to not use it in emergency/urgent need.
Excellent for those of us with Brain Only [Sorta] Work At Night! 🙃

A stressful evening of wasted, old, football fan neighbours setting off fireworks right outside yesterday. Had to comfort Poppy in the bathroom, took her two hours to stop shaking & panting.
Dreamt of my Nana's house, & my babies bouncing into the garden. Slow to remember they're gone after waking.

My girl is the same! She's a lab x collie, so extra fluffy ruff & pantaloons (I call them pantaloops bc.. silly) Ofc, can't find a good pic of them now.
Fluffy removal is referred to as "tax day", in between swipes she play bites & jumps around, & gets zoomies.
