I fucking love vaccines. Not getting sick is great, as is minimizing encounters with the American healthcare system. Vaccines save my health, my wallet, and my peace of mind!

Sincerely, I would love to know how many PR people PPB staffs and what the PPB PR budget is (including contract work).

I don’t care of they’re MAGA or not, this is just sad. It’s sad when children are deprived of parents, when parents are can’t raise their kids. This usually happens to Black and Brown families. Maybe this solidarity for horrible reasons will end up helping the marginalized families.

When the police gets $, how much goes to PR? How much to toys like quads and planes? Surveillance technology? And what do we as a city have to show for all that?

Thank you! I live in your district and use Parks & Rec daily (SWCC, Willamette Greenway, various parks, community garden) and would love more investment into community centers especially so people across the city had access to affordable fitness and daycare.

I wrote to Zimmerman and Clark that I’m scared of PPB and would LOVE to cut their funding, but use parks & rec daily and would be like to see more investment there. I’ll keep writing them as they’re my reps.

They’re invested billions, BILLIONS. They’re going to do whatever to make it succeed because of the massive investment

Not sure someone who’s earned the description “mega donors” likes actual leftist stuff like unions, universal healthcare, paid family leave/sick leave/vacation. But one can dream.

Saw a Salon writer on here claiming Biden’s health “cover up” will be THE issue for Dems in 2028 and they’ll HAVE to denounce him or have no chance. When challenged about why she’s talking like this, she simply pointed out other coverage of it as proof that she simply must discuss it.

Recently I read a (library!) book by Isabel Allende and one of the things i noticed was that there were relationships based on small talk only as well as deeply felt romantic love, friendships, and more. All those social connections mattered.

I saw a guy on TikTok say that being mildly annoyed is the price for community. Yeah, you’re going to go to grandma’s and be mildly annoyed by her showing you off to her neighbor. But you’ll smile and be polite. You don’t actually want to tell them both that you’re a little annoyed by this.

My heart breaks for Adriana Smith and her f family, especially precious son who thinks she’s just sleeping. The human toll of these laws is immense. I hope her parents live to see them change.

It’s 100% reasonable and good to expect fiscal accountability from PPB. Thank you.
May 14, 2025 at 3:52 AM
Thank you, truly. I use PDX parks & rec every day. I called 911 once when I saw a guy hitting someone with a bat. We got an automated message and no help. My neighbors called 911 for a medical crisis and PPB arrived first and arrested them for not cooperating during a medical crisis

We had footage of officers brutalizing Rodney King, may he rest in peace, too. What must it have been like for his loved ones to see cameras being promoted as a tool for police reform?

I get sad when I encounter people who can’t do cell phone life for some reason and don’t have a support system around them to manage all that for them. It doesn’t have you be this way, but it is because people who make decisions lack the capacity to imagine the diversity of the human experience

We have a family elder who learned English as an adult and her reading skills aren’t nearly as good as her speaking skills. She has poor up-close vision and arthritic hands. She’s an able bodied person in analog life, but in cell phone life she’s disabled. People are diverse and need options.

You sure there isn’t some other reason why old boy from Toccoa has nothing but disdain for Atlanta’s mayors?
April 29, 2025 at 4:07 AM
Last time he was too disorganized and ignorant to have gone after Title VI or anything else. This time, Project 2025, the Federalist Society, etc made sure to prepare. I’m so sad about it all.

How can we support her and her children right now? Does anyone know legit ways? Other than calling our reps and demanding better from our government, of course.

It’s truly embarrassing for executives and some journalists that they’ve believed everything in these sales pitches about AI.

He left to do a business deal in the parking lot. He lived in a smaller city about an hour away and thought he would multitask during our date and pick up his product he planned to sell upon returning home. You can guess the sort of product he was buying after hours in a parking lot.

I grew up in Atlanta and heard this stuff all my life. I’m not a real American because I’m bilingual. I’m not a real Georgian, I’m from Atlanta. No one ever stated what a real American or real Georgian was, but they were quick to exclude a hell of a lot of people, narrowing it down all the time
