To get vaccinated you either need to be very old or rich! Not an option for most of us.

And this is people's husbands and wives who will be subjected to even more humiliation than they currently are. What a horrible country we are becoming.

To be fair the Greens do well in urban, often traditional Labour areas whereas the LDs tend to do well in more affluent areas that the Tories once did well in, and in areas like the South West. Whilst their policies are different both are progressive parties that are less controlling.

And it's often for partners/spouses and close family of British citizens!

It's lovely that you have such gatherings every Sunday. And even more lovely that Sophie is now comfortable to join in.

It costs far more in the long term to deal with the effects of child poverty. Sure Start actually saved money. It's like ignoring a leaky roof to save money. It costs far more to fix the damage than fixing the initial problem.

What a strong and truly diverse team we have. I didn't expect Mothin to win, but the three of you together bring so much.

Good luck. You know your stuff unlike most who seem to have an emotional view of taking back control.

Totally. Physios know so much more about such things than the average GP.

I have no idea. I don't have a TV and only know him from his Byline Podcasts.

What has Adrian Goldberg done to get on the list? Not really surprised by the others.

Still time for Labour to bring in PR!

This is so powerful. I'm so sick of all the talk about boats and the scapegoating. Somehow despite having so ,many brilliant people the Green message often fails to cut through, but this does and is so needed. I've just rejoined the party so I can vote.

Unfortunately as anyone working in the public sector knows, there's really been no difference and very little extra money in the last year. Cuts are still having to be made and things that matter to the public like getting a GP appointment are still very difficult.

It's sad that malaria research is low priority. If it was a Western disease it would be irradiated by now. Instead it still kills and causes serious illness.
July 19, 2025 at 11:41 AM
The problem is the volume of mosquitoes and the lack of protection from them in the form of mosquito nets etc. It could also be access to appropriate treatment as the strains are probably resistant to the cheaper more readily available drugs.

They take the parasites from person to person, but there is no direct human to human transmission. I'm an ex-nurse who lived in malarial areas and have had malaria.

Is there a case that women are more willing to take what is seen as a non-graduate job, so are employed but not necessarily in a good job?
July 19, 2025 at 8:15 AM
Given malaria is transmitted by mosquitos not human to human contact, it's the travel of the mosquitos not humans that is the issue.

He's not white, Muslim, doesn't come from money, is bright and has worked really hard.

It's totally dishonest. I go to a really lovely Catholic Church in Devon and we have a mix of elderly Devonians and Indian and African carers who have come to work in a local care home. The children are a delight and there is much love between us all.

Long term Green voter here. After being involved in local politics and seeing how toxic the local Labour party were I could never vote Labour again. Labour refuse to work with other parties feel that they have a right to all non right wing votes. I have tactically voted LD to get the Tory out.

Could have a lot to do with the rising pension age. For women this has gone from 60 to 66 in this time coupled with more and more dealing with children still at home and aging parents.
April 25, 2025 at 1:07 PM
I refused to vote Labour despite my MP being Mel Stride and him very nearly getting defeated by a truly awful Labour candidate. I voted with my conscience for an excellent Green candidate. I was saddened by many who voted Labour now feeling totally let down and disillusioned.
