So today I noticed that Adobe Illustrator has a dedicated setting for …the color of the Share button in the title bar and I just can’t stop imagining possible scenarios that led to this being added to the product. 🥲

UX diary: nice observation on the Jaguar 'situation'. If you're a UXer you have to be looking at the whole vertical.

Most tech companies *vastly* underinvest in design and frontend resources, yet not a single one of their customers cares about how beautiful the code is.

UX is the product.

UX diary: Congratulations to the BX (business experience) team at LinkedIn… you’re maximizing the business objectives with opaque plans and deceptive patterns while producing shit UX. Hope you don’t have the ‘U’ in your job title.

UX diary: idea for Netflix. Parent accounts. Cheaper than normal, you can select any movie but no need to license the film because the customers have all fallen asleep by the time the movie begins.

Most apps just translate words.
Great apps translate culture.

Perfect example:
Apple's Stocks app shows growth in:
• Red for Chinese markets
• Green for Western users

Small detail. Huge impact.
This is how you build for a global audience.

Share your favorite cultural adaptation! 🌏

This is so delightfully on point. UXers take note: a formulaic 5-step design thinking process won’t save you
So much mentoring I do is asking folks to treat themselves with kindness.

Overwork, anxiety, external and internal pressure can put us into a dark hole. We find ourselves lacking mental resources to be playful.

- You need kindness.
- So you can experience safety.
- So you can imagine delight.

How are we helping Design/UX/content people figure out how to make use of AI but also maintain a good level of critical thinking and skepticism?
