He gets a lot of love. There's a manga spin-off that does character vignettes for a bunch of riders after their shows ended, and the (separate) chapter they did for Rider 2 clears the Rider 1 chapter easily. It's where this page is from, they're saying this about Rider 2 and not Rider 1.
