Wym? It provided exactly as described. Its a public leger that has numbers that can be securly transfered from one account to another. The fact that people assigned this value was never an official part of the plan. The fed's version has benefited US though with sub hour transactions for banks.

What does freezing your LexisNexis do? I've only heard of them as a auto tracking company.

Locking is better in that you can have it unlocked generally in 1-2 hours if you want to apply for a new line of credit (loan or credit card) but the freeze is free and they are legally required to have it unfrozen within 2 business days. If you would like to pay for the extra convenience then lock.
