As a lifelong Bears fan, I assume this fun ride is coming to an end soon. But they are figuring out how to win close games-that’s not nothing. We stayed in our seats when the Bengals came back with a minute left because we knew the Bears offense had a shot, which is a weird feeling. Who knows?

Now nothing is open until morning. No thank you, I’m not fighting those crowds. Iowa plays at noon, the Bears play at 3, and I have a new house to decorate for Christmas. My day is set.

We used to go at 3 am back when everything was open all night. It was great, the midnight rush people were gone and the morning rush people hadn’t come yet. We’d go out for breakfast and then over to Kinnick for the Iowa/Nebraska football game (or home to the TV if it was in Lincoln).
