He’s terrible. Can’t pass. No creativity. Never looks to pass forwards. Always gives it away. He is not the midfielder you are looking for. #cpfc

Can we just sign him this time please?

Can’t think of many that we didn’t give a chance to and regretted. Jake O’Brien. But he was well down the pecking order as we had plenty of depth at the time.

It does seem odd JRS hasn’t had much of a chance considering how short we are now.

With Devenny he’s shown he’s happy to play youngsters.

How could I forget!

A new signing won’t play tomorrow or away on Thursday.

I think it’ll be the usual deadline day scramble. I just hope we have our targets lined up and pretty much good to go.

Considering you just got £25m for a player who had only played for you 10 times, how much would Elliot go for?
August 23, 2025 at 5:42 PM
I’m sure there was a striker on loan at some point too. He certainly didn’t help even things out. I can’t even remember his name!

I’m sure our squad wages are high and I know we’ve not been great at selling players but how can we be so broke when teams all around us are spending a fortune.

I don’t want us to go on a mass spending spree but I’d assumed there was a bit more wiggle room.

That’s the Palace spirit ❤️💙

Considering we played with Mitchell and no backup LB for so long and it took us years to replace AWB, I’m not holding out much hope for ‘planning ahead’ and ‘clear strategy’.

Last minute scramble for a loan from Chelsea when he’s sold is probably the best we can hope for. #cpfc

I don’t understand why we are in this situation.

Freedmen left in March. We knew Guehi would likely go. We knew Eze would go this summer or next. Glasner has highlighted the importance of early signings to integrate. I can’t understand why replacements haven’t been brought in in advance. #cpfc

Most successful in that he’s scored the important goals to win our first silverware.

Olise might go on to be greatest player to have ever played for Palace but his successes will be at other clubs.

Wilf is our greatest ever for the impact he had over so many seasons.

… and we’ll be shocked when Glasner walks in the summer.

Then we’ll need 4 week to ‘draw up a shortlist’ of suitable managers.

Glad it wasn’t just me. One player even went the extra step by hitching his shorts up high.

I assumed that it was a story with a bit of creative freedom.

I assume the reality it something more boring like we didn’t want to pay as much as Southampton.

I guess he needs to get as much media attention as possible to sell a few more tickets for his shows.

I think the last time we went to Austria for pre season was under Tony Pulis. He walked the day before our first game of the season. Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

Esse has some work to do after annoying him against Liverpool. OG showed with Holding that he doesn’t tolerate any nonsense.

França has been injured so long that we don’t really know if there is still a decent player left. There was also the rumour about him not settling.
August 3, 2025 at 7:30 AM
Ebiowei and Plange were cheap enough gambles.

França and Esse will be more painful financially if they don’t come off. I’m happy to give them more time and optimistically hopefully they’ll still come good.

Any idea why França hasn't featured in preseason for Palace? I assume another injury but haven't seen anything officially mentioned #cpfc

Good point. The players were also split with some in the UK and some in America. Plus we had so many players away on international duty last year.
July 29, 2025 at 10:44 AM
Really 😬 Any idea how serious? What a blow.
July 29, 2025 at 8:56 AM
I'd imagine he's a more realistic target. I can't see us going after the other two as they will be too expensive. Doesn't really match our transfer strategy. Saying that, El Khannouss will still cost a bit.
