My heart goes out to victims of wildfires in US, Canada and rest of the world. I know from experience that it's frightening and hard to recover from. Last week was a year since a fire destroyed our rural community. Here are pictures of us, including 5 cats, fleeing. I still have nightmares.

Here are Simon, left, and his litter mate, Tabitha. I lost Simon on Wednesday and am in mourning. He was a great cat and I loved him dearly but Pulmonary Heart Disease and pancreatitus was too much for his 16 yo body.

I'm so sorry. This is my sweet Fanny who is very ill and the doctor will be helping her pass. She will be the 8th cat I've grieved over during the last 2 years. Everyone is missed greatly.

This is Prince Hairy reminding me I need to do laundry. This was taken 3 years ago when he weighed 15 lbs. Due to Aids and Stomatitis, he is now under 10. He's still very loving and a wonderful cat.

Happy Valentine's Day to my hubby. He has tatts all over his body and believe it or not, he's a retired attorney. He'll be 80 in June and we're enjoying old age. He's my lover.

This is Mama, my youngest rescue. She has gone through traumatic experiences in her 3 years. She was feral with kittens when they were saved from a cruel person who was going to drown them. She's now inside and has become a loving, sweet and playful cat and I'm crazy about her.

Good morning everyone. Here are two more cats that share my world. Have a relaxing day. Fanny, on the left is 17 years old and is having to crawl up to bed and chairs. Prince Hairy has cat Aids and stomatitis but is very loving. I'm a childless cat lady and very pissed off.

Good early morning everyone. Hope you all have a fabulous day. I'm new here and want to introduce you to my fur babies. This is Simon who weighs 20 lbs, is deaf (WHAT?) and has pulmonary heart disease. I give him medication to keep his lungs clear. He's a lover.

I took this as we were fleeing a wildfire with 5 cats at the end of last July. We didn't know where we were going but we survived and didn't lose our house. It decimated our small rural community with 150 homes lost.
