There was an old school top-down sci-fi shooter that was rats in mecha-balls, shooting, mazing in the maze and upgrading weapons and shit. Good inspirational reference.

But what you lament, happens in the comments - conflating the idea of a person being a skeptic and wanting a civil discussion with some vague online community of «skeptics that are assholes». We are so quick to label, pigeonhole and put in boxes. See a person for a person.

I was there for the first one as a 16 year old kid who had just learned how to program. I can honestly say, LudumDare is what got me into gamedev. Thank you.
