Some species of mushroom can use their mycelia to connect together tree roots in a network. They can then share resources and communicate with one another. Really neat fact, and it also spawned my favourite overly niche meme (so niche I couldn't find it, so here's a mockup):

Sorry I'm late for Halloween!! But! I did make this #Fakémon based on my worst fear, so uhhh, enjoy lmao! I'm sure it's obvious :)

Extra design yaps in the replies!!
A Fakémon design based off of the poster's biggest fear, called Amandelita. It's canonically a mushroom, but heavily implied to be more of a mushroom cloud, from a nuclear bomb. Amandelita, when idle, is a red-capped toadstool with a white stipe, whose cap is made of several lumps with white spots; its 'arms' are based on those strange trails that appear with certain nuclear explosions. Once threatened, it changes to its 'danger' form; its cap glows white-hot and ripples like a mushroom cloud does. The previous image, but with bonus text paperclipped onto it. This includes its abilities, size and item drops.

Made this fucker because I fucking HATE the Gaomon driver and so installed OpenTabletDriver to use my screen tablet without ripping my hair out. Still a pain to set up but that's entirely on me for being REALLY bad with technology LMAO

Also I wanted to emulate my traditional paintings in digital :)

Presumably it was meant to say "Happy birthday" but I don't know if the misspelling was deliberate or accidental. I had a weird sense of humour as a child.

Something I made for my mum for her birthday. At first I just wanted to experiment with mixed media and was probably going to make a more traditional backup (just paint or just markers), but this turned out really beautiful imo! #terrypratchett

Made with a cheap 0.6mm line pen and even cheaper felt tips :)

The comic states: "After a while, I actually noticed that my weight had gone down! Only by a kilo, mind, and over the course of 2 months. So, very okay, and not from any anorexia bullshit (NGL I was eating better than ever because I didn't eat just for the dopamine lol)" "BUT!! The big improvement was this:" "Right away, I checked to see if my weight loss was healthy, and I was neutral about the fact I lost weight." Magpie is seen deep in concentration, googling 'is 1kg over 2 months healthy'. The comic goes on to say that "WHEREAS BEFORE..." Magpie's red-rimmed, furious eyes accentuate the last sentence, surrounded by a scratchy red aura and downwards-pointing arrows - a way of expressing the deep obsession. The comic continues: "WHAT DOES THIS MEAN THOUGH? - It means that, without noticing, I've significantly improved my whole relationship with weight, control and most shockingly, my ✨ anorexia ✨. Made this goofy Eurasian eagle owl in my notes app on the bus hehehe. This challenge forced me to try an extreme perspective, it was a lot of fun!!

Honestly a banger challenge for practicing poses (and I had a go at using a chunky pen to rough out the letters, you can see em peeking out behind the OCs hehehe)

I ACTUALLY FUCKING PAINTED DIGITALLY FOR ONCE OH MY GOD!! It's Motheaton!!! The fictional town in the comic story I might one day possibly maybe make :) basically imagine a south norfolk market town but with magic and folk creatures and you have the right idea.
