Not just disabled friends, but all marginalized friends.

Instead of empathy and leadership, Trump had to take a dig at the disabled community?

Very disturbing anti-disability rhetoric here, where Trump blames the recent American Airlines crash on DEI efforts, specifically hiring disabled folks, into the FAA. thehill.com/homenews/adm...

So are you telling me, RFK, that you “don’t know” if a woman should be treated for having a missed miscarriage, or complicated miscarriage that she has no control over, and not treating this can potentially cause sepsis, or even death. Just because you don’t want to tell the states what to do.

Trump unilaterally freezing congressionally-approved funds is sure to draw lawsuits accusing him of violating the Impoundment Control Act of 1974.

Trump is testing the boundaries of the law and this Supreme Court’s appetite for expanding executive power.

A reasonable concern.
It’s going to be a long and devastating four years for the disability community if we don’t resist.

Here, State Dep, I fixed it for you.

Trump rejoins an international anti-abortion pact alongside countries such as Uganda, Saudi Arabia and Belarus.

Secretary of State Rubio instructed the U.S. Mission to the UN in a to notify countries that it re-joins the so-called Geneva Consensus Declaration.

Getting some reports that ASL interpreters are being fired across federal agencies. Not sure to the extent yet. Obviously in violation of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. But with the DOJ Civil Rights Division frozen and general law-breaking plentiful, unsure of recourse rn.

It is a shame that Federal agencies can’t talk about this.

Correction to my earlier post regarding 504: it still stands. It is detailed in Disability Protections & ADA Amendment Act of 2008. Link: www.ed.gov/laws-and-pol...

This pamphlet explains how students with hidden disabilities are protected against discrimination by Federal law.

Absolutely. Sometimes we have to have uncomfortable conversations. Otherwise how can we learn?

Ed.gov is no longer showing page for Section 504. There is no transparency or future plans for 504. Our disability rights are being dismantled before our eyes.

All of the dialogues happening right now. Keep having them. I ask you only one thing though. Please do not forget us disabled people. We are often forgotten in those dialogues. We are as negatively affected as many others are.

The medicine affordability is now denied to us. The research paving way to providing health care for us is being denied. How is this okay?

On January 21, #Trump signed an executive order dismantling Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) initiatives. DEIA employees were put on leave, offices closed, and DEIA hiring practices, including those for disability, banned.

What a dick move.

This bill concerns me. It is a clear case of racial profiling, & discrimination. Remember Japanese internment camps? Are we really doing this again?

White House took down the accessibility page. Again.

Will White House will deny having ASL interpreters on the stage for press conferences…again.

Or have ASL interpreters stand somewhere off the stage so they won’t be as distracting?

We will see, I suppose.
