If it makes you feel any better, I LOVE it when artists revisit and update their older works, I think it's so cool to see the progress, different influences from then vs now, what's updated, what's held onto. Also tbh I do it with photography sometimes, here's the same tree 10 years apart lol

I surprisingly did not have an understated tie tack on hand, so I made one out of wenge. First thing I've made in a while. I've done some little things like leather coasters, finished a side table, but no big projects. Been too busy, too stressed, hurting too much. I need life to be back in balance.

Lowe's clearance rack staghorn fern I got a couple years ago. Was in a pot that wasn't super breathable and was getting pissy about weekly mistings, too wet. So he's in a much more suitable/mountable container now.
I had to break the pot he was in to get him out. It was one of my favorite pots. 🙃

Flak is 12 today!! Grumpy old man is even older and grumpier. Yet despite it all, he remains dedicated to doing his job, keeping tabs, making sure I'm okay.
He had a very rough winter, health-wise. I know he's in his twilight years, but I'm so thankful every day I get to spend with him.

Partner and I have a new pastime of looking at random stuff with a UV flashlight. This lichen was extraordinarily luminous last night.
Highly recommend looking at random shit in the woods with a UV light.

Creating problems for myself, as usual. Been making these sourdough sandwich loaves, but this stuff stays fresh for like.. 4 days max. Now I feel pressured to eat a whole ass loaf of bread every time I bake because I don't want it to go bad.
