Also I know I've said this before, but I actually mean it this time: This will be my last jam game. I'm working on multiple full releases so they will get my full attention now 😣 (+ bachelor project is coming up soon yuck)

Also since I tend to make cute but scary games, this one is not. There is one scene that's a little scary if you're scared of spiders, but the game has a bugphobia mode that hopefully fixes that haha (This screenshot shows what the flies look like with bugphobia turned on, the spider looks similar)

This was originally a projection mapping assignment for my last winter semester, but I added some new content over the past week and polished it up so I can publish it for trans rep jam :D

Since this is the internet and people love to interprete things in bad faith, I've put problematic in quotations, not because I don't think they are, but because I think calling something problematic without exploring how and why is stupid and exactly at the center of this whole dilemma.

What makes this even worse is that Misfiction is a SFW *parody* of these "problematic" tropes that are being pursued right now. Hot take, but I don't think censoring any kind of discussion of a topic, no matter the context, is healthy actually.

i feel in love with mistrick every since the game's release, and while it stuck with me the longest, all of hatoge's works have greatly inspired me as an artist for the past few years, as it's become pretty much an yearly tradition for me to draw john and chase.
