I came to Avatar: Fire and Ash with the expectation of stunning audiovisuals and massive action set pieces and that's what I got.
What I didn't expect to get was the ballsiest subversion of the Abrahamic covenant I have ever seen on screen. Just in time for Christmas!

I'm sick of people saying the Avatar movies "have no cultural impact." 5 billion worldwide gross is an impact. What they really mean is that Disney does not have an oil pipeline of money pouring cash into merchandising and spinoffs for them like they do with Star Wars and Marvel.

We are all about to find out the depth of the Republican party's commitment to Sparkle Motion.

2010s person: lady gaga isn't allowed to say "chola"
Time traveler: stop! You're looking the wrong way! We're going to lose abortion rights and health care funding and masked thugs in uniforms are going to disappear people off the streets!
2010s person: don't you anger police me

Props to skydawngames.com on the incredible job they did adapting one of my favorite game series into a TTPRG. The book is gorgeous and shipped super fast!

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the person in Natural Born Killers with the sign that reads "MURDER ME MALLORY" and wondering. If that person gets their wish, are they actually going to be happy? If Mickey pulls the trigger instead, is it still worth it? No connection to anything, I swear...

Hey, wouldn't it be great if everyone who is upset about the drippingly scummy act of Paradox putting two clans in VTMB2 behind a 30$ special edition, just, you know, DIDN'T buy the game AT ALL? Like, avast ye matey, or ignored it completely? Can that please happen?

I am that kid who asked "why didn't Gizmo turn himself into a Gremlin to fight the other Gremlins?" I understand why that would not have worked as a plot choice, but now, over forty years later, I am wondering why the Mogwai are still fighting the Gremlins while trying to stay fluffy and cute.

I wrote a version of the old fable about the scorpion and the frog in which the frog, riddled with venom and in agonizing pain, keeps crawling up to the scorpion asking him if he needs help crossing the river. It's called... oh come on you know what it's called.

Before Hades 2 finally goes gold they are going to have to find some sort of balance in these boss encounters between "too easy" and "trapped in a steel drum with some angry bees and a pitbull."

Reasons you should be playing Clair Obscur Expedition 33:
1. JRPG made by devs who clearly love the genre
2. Original and engaging fantasy setting
3. Exceptional story and dialog
4. Challenging combat mechanics
5. Instead of an airship, you ride around on a jolly fat giant who calls you "mes amis"

When you've played an Elder Scrolls game with a nude mod installed, and then strip down a dead bandit only to see his sad little sausage dangling out in the open breeze, you know you've made the correct choice to be a PC gamer.

Modern portents and omens: In retrospect I think the encroaching doom we are all experiencing now was foretold when sriracha sauce came back to the store shelves and it was all watered down.

I should have known something was off with Dragon Age: Veilguard the moment I fired an arrow at a halla in Arlathan in the game completely ignored my attempt at wildlife murder. I'm not a person that condones wanton harm to animals, but I still don't trust an RPG that doesn't let you whack critters.

What I love most about Rings of Power is how everyone on the show tries their darnedest to make sure they trill their r's when they say "Morrrdorrrr."

Currents events being what they are I am more than a little concerned about the new D&D Monster Manual revoking humanoid status on certain species. Unless they have a "role or profession" in which case they get a separate stat block? Hmmm

Oh my stars, how can we have free speech on this platform when a person who got bomb threats called into hospitals is prevented from doing the same thing here? What are my hands supposed to do with all these pearls they are clutching?

As it turns out, people are well aware that there is a good chance the leopards will eat their face. They are willing to take that risk, though, because the other choice is icky.
