Here are some more numbers on which churches, denominations and movements are represented in the big conservative Christian kid-toucher report, and how much so far: Assemblies of God/Holiness/Apostolic/generally otherwise pentecostal or charismatic (some of these might better belong in the regular nondenominational/megachurch category below or vice versa, I’m doing my best to categorize them) — 16 General nondenominational evangelical/Christian nationalist (this is a big tent, but there’s a lot of “undefined” out there in the world of evangelicalism, also see just above) — 15 Catholic — 8 Conservative Presbyterian (PCA, EPC, etc.) or anything calling itself “Reformed” — 4 Seventh Day Adventist — 4 Lutheran (regular/Missouri Synod) — 3 Methodist (the conservative, backwards types, NOT the nice United Methodists) — 2 Vineyard USA — 2 Nazarene — 2 Wesleyan — 1 Anglican (NOT Episcopalian, these tend to be the ones that left the Episcopalians in a huff for being insufficiently gay-hating) — 1 Evangelical Lutheran (these are the liberal Lutherans, despite what the name might sound like) — 1 Mormon (LDS) — 1 Church of Christ — 1 Disciples of Christ — 1 Episcopalian — 1 United Methodist — 1

In the 1970s, 1 in 50 Americans received food stamps. Now, 1 in 8 do. On average, these households get $322 a month. Are 42 million Americans really in such danger of suffering malnutrition that the federal government should spend about $100 billion every year to help them feed themselves?
