It looks like a few people have suggested setting up the router to black-out certain times to enforce a disconnection from the internet, and that was what I was going to suggest as well. It's a sort of soft-cut-off rather than cancelling the service, and makes it easier to access things if you need.

I find 5e tedious. The closest it's ever gotten to "fun" for me was when the DM implemented so many house rules that it's basically Pathfinder at that point. 🤣

While I respect what CR has done for the gaming hobby in general, I'm admittedly unsure at times if I feel it was good or bad in the end.

Branding deals is probably a big part of it. It wouldn't surprise me at all if WotC spent a bunch to keep CR on their system.
