Fun fact John Harper, of Blades in The Dark, was part of the design team of the Talislanta's fourth edition.

This came to me while making another meme that came to me in the moments I was technically awake, but the fingers of Dream had not completely broken contact.

Also claiming someone isn't a game designer if the majority of their work is systems is just wrong??

This just such a weird take. I got into TTRPG's almost two decades ago and I never encountered the idea that a TTRPG game system is equivalent to a video game console.
Hell, it doesn't even work as an analogy.
The Wii was the best selling console of it's generation and it was unique in its controls.

Rad TTRPG Thing:

Monte Cook Games' "The Strange" is about hopping into pocket dimensions that alter your character like in "Kingdom Hearts."
To make it easier to deal with they designed the character sheet to have a sub sheet wrap around it. So change the sub sheet and change the character.

Be right back. Going to do research for my horror short story. Title pending. Synopsis is "Paleontology team discovers a complete Spinosaurid fossil with a box of soap in its gut." Tempted to make the soap be from Carcosa, but I think it's funnier if the soap is made from Shubby.

After thirty and a half years I finally solved one of these.
And it only took one ten minute video and three-and-a-half-hours.

I wanted to poke fun at the OSR, but I definitely failed on that front. This was poorly thought out. I can't even tell what the punch line is. I'll try to make a better version next time.

Now Playing is also in the "Recreate TV" genre, but it uses Fudge; the system Fate Core is based off of. 4/4

Both Hillfolk & Primetime Adventures are both narrative TTRPG's meant to replicate TV. I haven't gone through them in much depth, but I haven't seen anything that excludes sapient cars. Heck Hillfolk has a robot setting, though I'm pretty sure it was inspired by WALL-E. 3/4

Despite being a D20 game Spycraft contains an entire chapter for dramatic scenes such as chases. In its GM chapter there are rules for different genres including comedy. Finally its Transmech supplement does allow car player characters, but it is more for playing Transformers. 2/4

I've definitely missed that transition. Why couldn't we have brought back "Pirates Vs. Ninjas" instead? Or the Wii, everyone loves the Wii.

Wow, I guess picking up a whole country that got banned from the website formerly known as Twitter will really pump up your numbers.

Okay I know you're a big fan SCUBA diving, but the ocean is a terrible place. There are reasons why only a handful of species ever went back; just ask dolphins.
