Chaos and void are found in many places especially in the human heart.  Various religions try to find solutions to the condition of the human being and its relation to the material world.

So then from this universal standpoint of the corruption having a hold on your life and my life means that you as a human being really do matter.  From the Trinitarian perspective God Himself in the person of Christ became a man and died on a cross to save you from separation from God.
