Yeah, if Bluetooth for streaming, it's either ASHA for android or MFi for iPhone. Subtle differences, ASHA doesn't allow hands free calls, MFi does. For hands free calls, you need a streaming accessory, if for Android. That was a weird one for me.

I got myself a streaming accessory so I can stream, initially, from my laptop, but apparently, I can stream audio from any BT enabled devices.

Yeah, this is a shock for quite a few of us. The dB gain is quite noticeable, and it's across the board for all frequencies, while the EQing for hearing loss is a separate process. Hoping it gets easier for you.
