We are an all volunteer nonprofit animal rescue and low-cost spay-neuter program in a rural region of western Tennessee. We rescue them transport out our animals, s/n those that remain, and work with area partners and those in Michigan to save more lives!
Typical afternoon driving down when you see a car pull back onto the road with a dog running frantically after it thinking surely they were not left behind on purpose. One of our volunteers watched her desperately trying to catch the vehicle despite being pregnant. Don’t worry Indy, we’ve got you!

This is what HARTT Rescue was taking in on Thursday - we had been there to vaccinate, deworm, provide flea/tick/heartworm prevention two weeks ago which prepared these 9 dogs for intake yesterday.

Thirty-one beautiful HARTT Rescue dogs and puppies caught a ride up to Michigan Humane Wednesday and will be up for adoption quickly!

Thirty sweet pups left our doors aboard the HSHV Love Train this morning. Look for them to be adoptable at the Humane Society of Huron Valley in Ann Arbor, MI on Friday.

These two much loved siblings were surrendered to us yesterday due to aging issues with their family. I can not imagine the sadness for the family and these dogs as they learn to move into a new life without eachother. We are going to be sure these babies get great new homes.

Did we mention the 45 dogs and puppies that left our doors yesterday for Capital Area Humane Society in Lansing, MI? They were all adorable and deserving of fabulous forever homes!

It is snowing outside here in southern west Tennessee (weird for us!) and won’t be above freezing for 3-4 more days. My dogs and the fosters are already bored, but don’t want to be outside for too long either. My foot-wiping towels will now bear the “scars” of their boredom :)

Welcome sweet guy Harvey to the rescue. He’s a beagle/basset mix (we guess) and is awesome with other rugs and loves every person he meets! Sadly, he’s HW positive so he’s got that yo deal with…but he’s in our home and learning about being part of the pack.

We have been asked to help this pregnant young stray in Stantonville. She will need a foster home for at least 2.5 to 3-months (2 months min for pups birth to 8-weeks and more for weaning and vetting for mom).

Spring and Summer have been learning a lot about life since we saved them after their owners requested them to be euthanized at the vet. These 8-mo old girls are sweet and so good and I know they are happy to be alive and ready for transport and adoption soon!

Meera has been a feral Hardin County stray cared for by a family who wanted her caught and spayed, but animal control couldn’t catch or trap her so she continued to produce puppies. Billy caught her last week, the pups will wean soon and mom will be spayed and returned to her home! #HARTTRescue

We pulled sweet Cookie from our local Hardin County, TN shelter last week and she gave birth to 8 puppies Saturday night just in time for the Super Bowl! Cookie and pups are doing great! #fosters #rescue #HARTTRescue
