<New Adult Hartley for shenanigans and such!>
I did! Now we're going to go see if the museum has something I found on display.

(She leads Layla to the gallery exit, checking a map on her way past.)

Oh, good, the layout is exactly the same as home! That saves me a lot of headache.

(She smiled warmly, then turned slightly to address the kitten on her shoulders.)

What do you think, dear? Want to see some archeological finds like when we were little?
October 4, 2025 at 3:30 AM
I may not have an eye for the smaller details, but I like to think I have reasonable tastes.

I believe we're nearly through the gallery. Once we're done, shall we see if Hershel's findings match mine?
October 4, 2025 at 3:14 AM
(A tiny chill up her spine that she shakes away with her free hand. Just the tickle of fur, surely.)
September 23, 2025 at 11:03 PM
Indeed, this one is quite intriguing. The colors and shapes, even what I believe to be called the sight line... it's lovely.
September 20, 2025 at 11:50 PM
(As they walk down the hallway, she explains what she knows of some of the local artists, and talks a bit about the stone used in some statues.

She follows Layla's lead when a particularly intriguing piece catches her eye.]
September 20, 2025 at 6:44 PM
There's still a chance that this form of mine isn't my real body, but some creation of the stream.

Or... hm... perhaps the curse didn't make me young, but simply merged me with a Teddy...

Either way, I won't be about much. If I find anything, you will be the first to know.
September 20, 2025 at 6:39 PM
(She gives it a final scratch before offering her arm again.)

Shall we continue where we left off?
September 20, 2025 at 3:03 PM
It's quite confusing. But, nonetheless, I don't think there's been any issues thus far.

I do think I will run some independent testing at some point, see what happens.
September 20, 2025 at 2:39 PM
Oh, well, I'm still indirectly tied to Teddy, we share thoughts and I can still take the lead, but I am now free to roam independently.

I have tried to make my way out, but it seems I'm not allowed to leave alone. She'll have to come with me.

I'm not eager to take her from Desmond...
September 20, 2025 at 6:04 AM
Oh, somewhat. But I'm very happy for you! It's been so long.
September 20, 2025 at 5:42 AM
Hello, Hershel! I hope you've been well.
September 20, 2025 at 4:25 AM
Heh, close enough!

(She glances at Layla apologetically.)

Do you mind if he joins us? I can't be sure he'll want to go anywhere else for a bit.
September 20, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Mhm! I've helped care for him a tad, and he's been great company.

*Probably best not to include the dangerous stuff...*
September 19, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Indeed, I offered to show Miss Ross around the museum. It's been quite nice so far.

Why not give her a proper hello?
September 19, 2025 at 5:46 AM
(She boops its nose.)

You're a little boy that sometimes looks like a cat!

(She looks to Layla apologetically.)

This could be the best option to start getting used to the strange people and creatures we have around, hah...

This is a version of Hershel's brother when he was young..!
September 18, 2025 at 4:13 PM
Oh my word..! Just a moment, Miss Ross—

(She hastily unhooks herself from Layla, rushing over to the paintings.)

Sweetheart, please join us down here! I don't want you to get hurt or break anything.
September 18, 2025 at 6:54 AM
Hmm... ah, there was a small statuette I found at a dig the investors weren't keen on funding - the area was quite remote.

If Hershel found the same statuette, it should be on display here! It will be in a different room, however, so we can give it a look after the paintings.
September 18, 2025 at 3:54 AM
Indeed, a few small pots I found while on a dig, some tools and toys.

(She leaned into her free hand with a soft, contented sigh.)

Oh, I do love finding the occasional fossil before the paleontologists, they're so infrequent where I do my digs. In all my time, I've only found three.
September 18, 2025 at 3:22 AM
I wish I had an eye for such details, honestly. However, I've been taken more with the delicate reconstruction of antiques.
September 18, 2025 at 3:09 AM
(She follows easily, happy to see her take the lead.)

With all art, seeing it in person is certainly much more invigorating.

The brush strokes, the blemishes, they tell as much of a story as the painting does.
September 18, 2025 at 2:23 AM
(The sensation of it lying around her neck gave her chills for a split second. She chuckled lightly, dispelling the unease and scratching its head.)

I may have to move you a bit when we sleep, just so I don't squash you, my dear.
September 18, 2025 at 1:42 AM
Nonsense, I'm merely telling the truth.

(She glanced over, surprised at the slight flutter in her chest at the sight. She smiles softly.)

Magnificent, isn't it?
September 18, 2025 at 1:38 AM
I see. Well, if you ever do, I recommend gold or copper.

Both would suit your complexion beautifully, and gold would especially accentuate your eyes.

(She turned as they entered the art hall.)

Ah, here we are!
September 18, 2025 at 12:54 AM
(She looks up and meets her gaze with a warm smile.)

Thank you, Miss Ross! I started wearing them in honor of an old friend, and I quite like how they look.

Do you happen to be wearing any?
