If you're thinking "well it's a bit more complicated than that..." then once you've admired the river, yes, we do have a tides session. The Open Session on Tides and Coastal Flooding: agu.confex.com/agu/osm26/pr... Come and talk about your favourite frustrating tidal science. #OSM26 3/4

Pleased to share our publication in Nature Scientific Data, which is a result of an intense effort with some of my idols of ocean tides. Our manuscript aimed at producing a comprehensive and harmonised dataset of tidal information for both validation and assimilative purposes in the Arctic Ocean.

Time for another plug for the #EGU2024 Tides & Surge session! Vienna, 14-19 April, the scent of lilac blossom and the warm bank of the Danube... or online if you prefer, EGU is a hybrid event.

With me, Sanne Muis, Mike @hart-davis.bsky.social , Sophie Berenice Wilmes and Fredericke Pollmann.
Yes we've only just had Halloween, yes it's too early for Christmas, yes it's not even AGU Fall meeting yet, but for some people it's not early to start thinking about #EGU2024! This year we've got a joint Tides & Surges, so no non-linear surge residuals caught between two parallel sessions 👇
