It's a good thing I didn't suggest he was then.

Policy often has many authors, and is adapted + borrowed from many places before becoming a fully-fledged bill.

Coincidentally, much of Corbyn's own policies were taken from T. Benn and foreign policy from the CND.

Policy doesn't occur in a vacuum.

Unemployment was @ 4% in June to August 2024, 4.3% by September - before that budget.

Amazing how the NIC policy was able to do that before it came into being! Spooky

But yet it was a government in his name that removed the cap, and it was a government in his name, not Boris's, that just nationalised the West Mids operator, was it not?

As for their immigration policy, it's aping Denmark, not Farage. What Farage has indicated is on a different level.

No, you don't need to wonder about it, as your point is sensationalist drivel boardering into the conspiratorial.

Is this what journalism has become?

Renters rights, minimum wage increase, nationalised train lines, GB energy, a renewed relationship and SPS deal with the EU, 2 child cap removal and more- yep all appalling ideas 🙄

I suspect once the Mandelson records are out from under the police. The next window of opportunity in this saga.

It is as it's factually incorrect as he didn't project Saville. Don't propagate your tinpot theories here, thanks x

Point proven

Possibly the laziest (and worst) comparison in the history of British politics.

Love or hate them, they are fundamentally two different characters.

We seemingly live in a world where people can only understand something by drawing asinine comparisons.

You have the worst case of Starmer Derangement Syndrome I have ever seen
January 29, 2026 at 7:39 PM
Didn't you predict Sarwar to end up as FM in your 2026 predictions?
January 29, 2026 at 7:35 PM
Perhaps for some, but I would expect it is largely because they are aware of the optics of being seen to prevent a 'rival' from running.
January 24, 2026 at 7:07 PM
You confirmed my point, the EU wasn't in full alignment, in fact you could say disorganised in their approach - but the negs failed purely down to "British arrogance" alone...no notes for the EU side, they did a sterling job then? Maybe, just maybe it was a bit more complicated than you let on?

We ousted the Tories because they’d taken the country to the brink. Believing anyone could fix that in 18 months is honestly absurd and pretends the problems to be small.
November 16, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Pretty sure saying that is racist.

Not all asylum seekers are black or brown. Many are what you would consider to be white, coming from Albania etc. I doubt you would make the same comment then.
November 16, 2025 at 10:34 PM
But surely making the UK less appealing (compared to European counterparts) reduces the chances of them wanting to get into the dinghy in the first place. Also not all asylum seekers arrive on boats - let's not conflate the issue, only a tiny minority do.
November 16, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Then Denmark must be a fascist country. That will come as a shock to the Danes.
November 16, 2025 at 10:08 PM
That is a different argument. Asylum seekers don't work/aren't permitted too. Only a small portion have been able to. So attracting more AS won't address the problem. It is clear there's something wrong with the model when EU countries have seen a -13% while UK has seen +18% in claims.
November 16, 2025 at 10:05 PM
Now if you want to discuss controlling the narrative about how the press have interpreted their actions. I will agree, they haven't taken ownership and allowed it to spiral.
November 14, 2025 at 9:12 AM
Not really. Show me the proof they said they were going to increase income tax? You show me the statement where they categorically said that. So far it has been journalistic speculation and 'insiders have said' - which doesn't count for facts. It's rumours that have been assumed as iron-clad facts
November 14, 2025 at 8:56 AM
You have Brexit and Trump to thank 👍
November 13, 2025 at 11:38 PM
So the thing they never confirmed they were doing they neither confirmed nor denied they are doing it? Great story.
November 13, 2025 at 11:30 PM
It has more to do with an economic trend forged over the past 14 years as you say. Besides being a smaller power compared to US and China means you are more vulnerable to their disruptive economic practices. In short, there is only so much a gov can do in a globalised economy.
November 11, 2025 at 8:10 AM
And he loves doing it. Which I think is the point - sadly.
November 5, 2025 at 9:40 AM
I disagree - but will judge better once more meat is on the bones. I am familiar with Euro counterparts that digital ID have it and it actually mitigates security risks and even couples with banking. In the long run it can save money and streamline governmental resource.
