I cannot see how the AI bubble continues past 2027, and see many signs that it'll burst in 2026. OpenAI is running out of cash, plays silly games with user numbers, and has a future contingent on a very, very tough for-profit conversion. Things look grim.

OpenAI must convert to a for-profit by end of year or SoftBank won't give them $20bn. There's a scenario where Microsoft - who effectively owns their IP and research - lets oAI die and scoops up the assets.

Even if they don't, OpenAI doesn't have enough time.

One scenario I've extrapolated - a chaos bet - is that one AI company is misrepresenting its revenues or costs due to a lack of due diligence on the VC side. It doesn't make sense how much money AI companies are burning, and I see no way many of them survive.

AI startups have ridiculous valuations, terrible burn rates and no chance to IPO or get acquired. Worse still, VC dry powder - available capital to invest - will run out by the end of next year if they keep investing at this rate. At some point VCs have to stop.

NVIDIA is a load-bearing stock, 8% of our stock market, 19% of the magnificent 7, and the only company making *any* profit from AI. Their growth WILL slow, and once it does, the market will lose confidence in the AI growth story.

Big tech will follow suit.

The common thread of all of my pale horses is they're impossible to ignore - unquestionable events that show that there *is* no AI revolution. In this piece I lay out every critical event that will make the bubble burst.

The AI bubble is bursting, and the things that will accelerate the collapse are NVIDIA's growth slowing, the death of AI startup funding, the collapse of a major AI startup, big tech turning on AI, and a collapse of neoclouds like CoreWeave.

I will also add that anyone suddenly veering super hard anti-AI right now is suspicious too, and you're gonna see way more of them. Can't wait to see how legacy media tries to backpedal, especially as I've been reading every single god damn generative AI piece that's run for two years
