I found this birding book along the side of the road on the Tamiami trail in the Everglades on 8/25/25. It is so well loved with sightings going back decades. If you're a birder (I am not) please spread the word and hep me find the owner so they can be reunited

Ok #waitrose you win. You’ve been flashing your recipe for Dorset Apple Cake at me every time I pick my phone up, so to keep you quiet & me occupied in the rain, given it a go. And the verdict? Absolutely blooming gorgeous 🥳
So in fact win win to me😂🏅

Been to a talk about this fantastic charity today. East Coast Truckers (100) take disabled children to Yarmouth on Aug bank holiday. My friend Chris has volunteered there for 30 odd yrs. Made me quite emotional & tearful to think there are decent folk still in this bleak world bringing comfort & joy

A new moth for our garden in South Norwich today. Lilac Beauty, initially I thought there was something wrong with it as its wings seemed sort of crumpled, then I saw most on Norfolk Moths looked the same. It wasn’t having a photo shoot & was soon off👋🏻

The Cellar House in Eaton does a damn fine £12 on Tuesdays deal. Today my friends & I had Sea Trout, New potatoes & Samphire. Superb 🌟

A second evening at Bergh Apton Hall entertained by “Lutestring” & their music dedicated to Moths. We’d set our moth traps up but with the huge moon brought along a few we’d caught the night before, true Blue Peter style. A think we may have converted a few folk to join The Dark Side!!

Join us for International Bat Night, this Saturday (30th August) at 7:30pm, Bullock Park, Mill Road, Shipdham.
A talk about bats, children’s activities, then a guided walk around the local area to see if we can spot our batty neighbours!

U3A Travel Club today, a “Birders Special” expedition voyage from New Zealand to Tokyo, visiting islands rarely ventured to by tourists. One of The Solomon Islands hadn’t seen a tourist for 9 years, just amazing history & scenery. A real wow factor

Clay Triple Lines nearly escaped me as it was high up on the garage wall, presumed it was a Maidens Blush, then had second thoughts & got the step ladder out, bingo, new for the year

Autumn has arrived at High Ash Farm, Norfolk. The Skinner family certainly make sure there is plenty of food for our feathered friends this winter. Above the skies are bursting with hirundines, soon to be on their way I guess 👋🏻

Chatting with a chap who was carving into a dead tree in Earlham Crem, Norwich, only took him a day & I think the result is outstanding. Love it😊
