Is the phrase “your margins are my opportunity” becoming less applicable? My hunch as a non-expert has been a less-friendly environment for competitors of larger, established companies, as capital is increasingly able to be exchanged for political influence.

Naturally those corrupt individuals who enriched themselves will spend a large portion of their gains preventing that from happening, using the same tools of corruption they’re so familiar with. I’m not sure if our electoral process can truly stand up to that.
