Increasing the care of rivers in Harrow
Thanks for the info. Any idea what may have caused this reading? on CVP 10 the temp went down to -100 and the TDS went up to 10000! obviously that didn't really happen, could be something like tinfoil on the sensor?

The first data from the passive monitoring boxes! You can clearly see when they were installed on Friday, then a few days worth of readings after that. Data is sent every 15 minutes. Not sure what the big dip means at 15.34 on sunday was, could be a rain event?

We have installed two passive monitoring boxes on Yeading Brook, part of the River Crane Catchment. These boxes will monitor TDS and water temperature to help us understand what is going on in the stream over time. With thanks to @cvp-cranevalley.bsky.social @brentpollution.bsky.social

Bolton's Pande in Roxbourne Rough is probably the best conservation site pond in Harrow, however it has become very silted up with a very small amount of free water. This wonderful pond needs some help so it can stay being a great habitat for wildlife. Come and help on Sunday Aug 10th, 10am-12 noon

We disturbed a heron eating a fish. I saw the huge HS2 building works before leaving the walk at Ickenham

Dragna from Hillingdon council showed us various projects which helped Biodiversit and reduce flooding risks. Pinn medows have very interesting iron springs which make the water go orange! These are often reported as pollution but a completely natural phenomena, which may even have health benefits

Last week I went on an organised walk along the River Pinn for London Rivers week, It followed the Celendine walk route and started at Pinner underground station. Many thanks to Lucy Shulker of ColneCAN groundworks who helped organise the Walk.
