This was a breakdown, but I think this play shows the core of OKC's defensive scheme — that when executed right can limit the Pacers' favorite plays.

This was massive for GSW's win and an absolutely gorgeous play. You could see Steph running up the floor calling this too.

There's still no more deadly play in basketball than Steph setting a ball screen.

Think the scheme the Clips used last night against the Cavs' pick and rolls might come back in the playoffs.

They switched and had Zubac sit deep in the paint to contest. The switching guard ran and took Allen.

Priority: Take away the lob and kicks to shooters. Make Mobley make floaters.

For all the talk about Memphis moving away from pick and rolls, a stagger screen for Ja was their play of choice in crunch time.

Got a lob for Clarke (with no weak side help from Randle), then a Ja layup through Gobert.

And Ty Lue was cooking late to secure a win.

After Harden made a few in a row, Memphis started doubling him. This same thing happened twice late, with Dunn going in-and-out on both attempts.

Clearly the Grizzlies' plan is to take away everything else and let Dunn shoot.

Vintage GSW and Draymond defense from last night. Pre switch Kuminga onto Sengun to keep Draymond in the paint, then after Podz gets beat, Draymond with the ferocious closeout.

Tough loss for GSW, but Draymond was hitting peak levels on defense.

The Pelicans are trying to revive Dejounte Murray as a defender. Put him on Booker and Beal all night with decidedly mixed results, but this is the kind of possession they want to see:

Enjoyed this little play from Sacramento. The trademark baseline exchange. Keegan cutting through to distract a defender.

OKC looked prepared, but Fox gets his look.

And finally: If you know the Knicks aren't switching and want to chase through no matter what, you can take advantage.

Markkanen got a handful of these in the second half, preying on OG's aggressiveness:

Same goes for on-ball screens — again, even when KAT wasn't involved. Jazz were getting into the paint on these sorts of flyby screens.

(And KAT isn't saving you at the rim, a huge reason why their D has been underwhelming.)

Something that caused the Knicks problems yesterday: They tried really hard to avoid switching the Jazz's many off-ball actions — even when KAT wasn't involved. The scheme was to lock and trail, with no show and recover.

Markkanen was feasting on that.

Justice for Isaiah Hartenstein!!

Crucial play from the Bucks loss. LaMelo gets by Andre Jackson Jr. too easily, then Giannis overhelps from the corner.

A lot of this defensive imprecision from the Bucks.

Interesting play in the OKC-Suns game from last night.

Watch TyTy Washington put his hands on Okogie for no apparent reason, making Okogie think there's a screen to navigate. It looks like Okogie gets blown by, but really it's Washington inexplicably tapping him.
