Theoretically that would mean they wouldn't thread on together but my Industar 50mm collapsible threaded onto my Leica body just fine. With enough thread engagement(over, say, a quarter inch or something) there would probably be some binding.

Mechanical standards are fun. "Leica Thread Mount," as manufactured *by* Leica, is 39mm diameter threads with a .977mm thread pitch(distance from thread to thread), with a Whitworth shape thread. The Soviets when making their FED knockoffs used M39x1 diameter and pitch, using DIN(german) threads.

i have been looking for a 40-ish focal length in LTM for months now so i'm baffled why this lens has not shown up in all my searching
