without singling out any critics, or any chart-topping podcasting duos, did anyone who recommended this show actually watch it??? or just read summary (bookshop! murders! mark gatiss!) and review accordingly? i am your prime sucker for this sort of stuff but it is so dull and unendearing

God knows there is no such thing as an original idea in magazines but please, a little decorum! a little twist! a break of more than the six weeks it presumably took to put this story together!

When I posted this on IG it cropped the ‘highly commended’ part out with AI (honestly!!!) so I would like to state for record that Take A Break in fact won best magazine section of the year at BSME awards… but I got this, which is very nice, and also a newly created award for best wizarding robes

Pity @cordeliajenkins.bsky.social who had to put up with the ‘creative process’ on that one.

‘My first job in journalism was based out of an underground car park in Beirut’ is a sentence I’ve doubted more and more every time I’ve said it over the years, but a friend just sent me this photo and yes. It was real. We used plastic picnic tables as desks.

I’m just a girl on a poorly timed holiday to copenhagen, propped up on an ironing board in front of the TV, asking the internet connection to stabilise

It is a lot of onions and all the more delicious for it. (Nonetheless I would council your followers not to try the method tweak suggested by this reader)
