I didn't realize there were Fanny Bay restaurants... I assumed they took you to the island to get oysters from the source 🙈. Unless they did take you to the island 👀

We don't do gift exchange in my family which is the best gift we've ever gotten itself. No stressing out about what to buy, no pointless consumerism, no wasted money. We spend time with each other and we're happy.

It's sad to see so many accounts which have existed for years and built followers that haven't changed their behaviour getting banned. Silver lining is more activity here.

The Hobbit! It was probably the first "adult" novel I read and it captivated me like few other books have. It and A Short History of Nearly Everything are my favourite books.

I also window shop pretty consistently and literally just signed a new lease last week. I've definitely seen apartments listed for months at ridiculous prices, but they're not being rented. I will not feel sorry for them when they get their empty homes tax bill.

100% they made bad choices. Despite this I still voted liberal because the party I wanted to vote for (NDP) hasn't got a chance in my riding and I see conservatives, especially under PP, as a wordt case scenario. I believe criticisms need to be backed by data though, and this particular claim isn't

But, rents didn't triple or even double in Vancouver. Looking at CMHC data it looks like rents are up about 75% in Vancouver. Granted that's a lot more than average inflation of about 30%, and still hurts but let's not exaggerate. Hopefully it just feels like 3x because you're in a better home!
