Harm Less Solutions Limited is dedicated to offering you products that help you improve your life without harmful effects to you, yours or our world. Our 2 EVs are charged from our own solar so expect comments relating to these.
FET rate on petrol is effectively 7.6c/km at 9.5L/100km. Any ICEV using less than that will 'catch up' in terms of RUC payment with km based RUCs. Higher consumption ICEVs will benefit from FET removal so more carbon taxation needed but NACT don't do emissions reduction. #ditchthepricksin26

Using offpeak rates or FIT to charge = ~3.5c/km + 7.6c/km RUC which is about half the cost of petrol for an equivalent ICEV. Hybrids use little petrol so are now the freeloaders on the RUC front but universal RUCs will correct that.

Worth shaving your cat to find out? Yeah-nah.

We've had a couple of window impacts by kereru but no breakages, other than a headache on the bird's part I guess. They leave a cool dust silhouette on the glass too.

And then there's New Zealand, and this doesn't recognise rooftop domestic solar. www.transpower.co.nz/system-opera...

Hey Chewie, What was that #ditchthepricks... in full? Like to be accurate when quoting 😉

Our coalition government's climate agenda is an international embarrassment.

Thank you for confirming my definition.

From someone with a knowledge of the O&G sector I can say that Kirsty absolutely nailed it.

Your analogy is arse about. The Maori are indigenous to Aotearoa whereas the possum is essentially a 'colonist'.

That's what our kitchen will be looking like early next year. Not looking forward to 'camping it' for the duration. That new kitchen looks drawer generous. Got Mark on the job? That's their style.

Like the definition of a weed they are an animal in the wrong place. In their native Australia feed is less plentiful and they are predated. In predator free NZ they ravage our native bush, raid birds' nests and spread TB. God doesn't make pests but humans put them in ill suited environments.

In a minute. Just have to duck out and bait our possum trap 😉

In that case are they interested in taking several million well fed ones back 'home'?

Add to those points increased EV uptake, together with solar and home batteries including V2G the decrease in grid demand would be significant.

More likely to get tuberculosis than rabies. They are an introduced pest here in NZ that destroy our native forests and spread TB to livestock. Biggest question here is why a camera was being pointed at it and not a gun.

This government just fail to do joined together thinking. Maybe because they have to revert to their lobbyists for any decision.

Am I the only one that sees this in that photo?

This government are shit businessmen who are owned by their fossil fuel lobbyist, are unable to stategise beyond the week after next and are ignorant of the climate crisis bearing down on us. They need to go!

My wake up station now. Just music, no annoying breakfast announcers, no political interview aggro. Great way to start the day, and keep the vibe going 24/7.

The gas 'drug addiction' analogy is very apt. Our electricity prices are high because of market design rewarding thermal generation to boost hydro returns. So how about we develop an even more expensive fuel source for thermal generation? WTAF This government is owned by their lobbyists.

2. Our current government are hell bent on kicking the shit out of New Zealand's emissions targets and this is just another example of that strategy.
