Bit unfortunate there for the NYT.

It's -1, feels like -5.

It's also 13:00 and the sun is setting.

Ah, Stockholm.

Pretty sure that's a dice tray for D&D dice.

Excellent Quick Cryptic crossword today from @theguardian.com

No Charades or Double Definitions or other weird, difficult stuff. But a new(?) category called "Voice" which was immensely fun ☺️

This (pictured) is basically the cause of the my frustration.

On Google TV, I don't have Amazon Prime, or Viaplay, or Crunchyroll, or Apple TV (etc.) installed, nor want to receive "recommendations" (advertising) about them.

On Google TV, it's not clear why. BUT on the Web, all is revealed:

See, easy peasy!:

Nope!

All posts are stored in public repositories that anyone can read - it's intrinsic to the design.
See the section called "Data Privacy" in the FAQ: bsky.social/about/blog/5...

That setting is simply to "discourage" apps from showing your account to logged out users. It doesn't block anything.

Arrived in the post!

I've been having a lot more architectural & advice conversations, sessions and workshops with teams in the last couple of years.
I think they've gone well, but I feel a need to level up.

This and @facilitatingswarch.bsky.social should help a bit! 🤞

No shade on the guy making the videos (I have never watched these, this is just a YouTube algorithm recommendation) but...

The combination of:
- How to play
- Part 5 (implying there are 4 previous parts)
- Cycle One (implying future cycles)
- it's 35 minutes long

is hilariously ridiculous.

Tactical Breach Wizards complete!
EXCELLENT game. Well worth 100%ing.

Wish I could forget it and play it all over again!

Thanks @dan.nerdcubed.co.uk for bringing it to my attention, and @pentadact.bsky.social + team for making it! 😊

Yup, definitely enjoyed that one.

Well played, @bsky.app

On the left (H&M), a crap website layout for finding homeware products.

On the right (Clas Ohlson), a neatly laid out website for finding homeware products.

UX designs, please take note.

Mathem is an online grocery store & delivery company in Sweden.

It seems like they deliver via... boat 😅

Stockholm is a very pretty city.

I'm glad I moved here ☺️

It was more "A History of Western Societies, followed by some quite biased essays on political topics, occasionally being offensive, dismissive, or both"

The writing-style is inconsistent, but quite smug at times, for instance this final "I illustrated rather than informed" comment:

Disgusting.

35GB for Windows.

This, the new AI features, the Ads, the classic ol' Windows bullshit has led me to decide:

I'm going back to Linux, again.
I came back to Linux for gaming before, but Proton & the SteamDeck have helped Linux be good for gaming.

Whoa... YouTube "watch" page has just changed to have the description/comments on the right and the recommended videos below, and all the empty space has gone.

The side bar has been minimised, even in full screen.

Well... screw you, Bosch.

Clue: Stack.
Answer: Heap.

My software engineer brain:
THEY ARE NOT THE SAME 👀

GOD DAMMIT 😅
May 15, 2024 at 3:11 PM
Haven't seen you in a while, friend.

Been catching up with GitHub notifications and dealing with PRs and Issues for a LONG while now.
I'm finally caught up to the "now".

I can breathe 🧘

Man, I really despise the arsehole at Google who came up with the idea that these should be Ad "Privacy" features when they are just Ad Enablement features.

I don't really understand how this isn't fraud.

Been deliberately opting out of the Chrome UI Refresh for a while now.

A new update came out and now the tab icons are all screwed up.

God damn shitty programmers not testing that things work & look correct with different feature flags enabled/disabled 🙄

Ah yes, because of all the people in the world I want to see "being real" it's... FIFA 🤦‍♂️
