If you read the article, this is misleading. Target is adding capabilities for interacting with Target to ChatGPT, *not* to the Target app. (This seems not-that-useful to me, and I suspect it quietly disappears in a few months once they see that nobody uses it.)

Maybe @leedrutman.bsky.social & co can convince Elon that the only way a new party will ever win any elections is if fusion voting, multi member districts, and ranked choice become widespread. His billions spent on pushing those reforms would be enormously impactful.

They've always had at least transcripts of whatever you say after "Alexa" -- that's how the system worked. And I think older models always sent the records. The only change here is that now the new models will always send the recordings to their servers, not just transcripts.
